The Pier Festival Marketplace
The Festival Market forms an integral part of The Pier Cairns development. The retail component is on two levels and focuses onto a major two storey marketplace. The development is themed to give local identity to the principal trading components and is a leisure retailing facility combining specialty shops, entertainments, kiosks, tour and travel operators, personal services and food court. It also contains a Tavern and several varied-style restaurants.
The Pier Hotel
This is a major development on a 1.2 Hectare reclaimed site on the waterfront at Cairns. The hotel covers the whole site on two levels with two, five storey suite towers onto Trinity Inlet above the Festival Market retail component. A large elevated garden above the retail component forms the internal focus of the hotel. Initially built for operation as the Park Lane Radisson Hotel this five star property is now managed by Shangri – La Hotels. Part of the retail mezzanine with Trinity Inlet views has been converted to provide hotel suites.
