Project Overview
This current project is being undertaken for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Queensland. It marks new initiatives by the Society in providing accommodation for sufferers in a non-institutional enviroment. The Life Options units are in two bedroom apartment configuration, designed and equipped specifically to afford every required facility for patient care. On site carer accommodation forms part of the development. This project provides four, two bedroom Life Options apartments together with four respite apartments at ground level.

The Society’s site selection responded to patient requirements including ground level access not only to accommodation and associated outdoor spaces but to community facilities including centres and other amenities in the nearby locality. Community integration, a major consideration, is further ed through combining apartments designed for the residential market with the Life Options units.

The proposed development, in addition to the eight MS use apartments, provides twenty four comfortable living units for sale in the market. These units are configured to take advantage of site orientation and on upper levels, to hardness city centre views. Car parking is provided in a basement structure, ensuring a liberation of landscape and amenity space at ground level.

Town planning approval from the Brisbane City Council has been obtained and the Society is currently developing the site in partnership with a private developer/builder.
