Project Overview
Following a national selection process conducted by Procurement Solutions ACT, the Codd Stenders May & Russell Joint Venture was appointed as Design Consultant for the project.
The commission encompasses master planning design, documentation and construction stages – a comprehensive service, including the selection, appointment and management of specialist sub-consultants.
The envisaged correctional facility for Canberra has an inmate capacity of 300. The prison will accommodate male and female prisoners both sentenced and on remand.
The enlightened operator philosophy will see development of a new benchmark in correctional facility design and operation.
The design process has facilitated the fine-tuning of the Functional brief and allowed the assessment and evaluation of options.
